I’m all for being proud of who you are and how you are. Love yourself despite whatever size or shape you are, but understand and recognize what is and what is not healthy. Loving yourself doesn’t mean you cannot keep healthy and get to that healthier place. You should always strive to be healthy because that’s what’s going to keep you here in the long run. Men want healthy. I’m in no way advocating that SKINNY is the way to be, but these women advocating “PLUS SIZE>SKINNY! I HAVE CURVES!” need to shoot themselves. You’re delusional. You can be skinny and have an hour glass figured. You can be skinny and be healthy. You can be curvy and healthy too. Realize that each woman has a different shape to them, and a different bone structure as well. Height plays into play A LOT! What looks right on one woman may not look right on another. Figure out what is right for you, what is HEALTHY for YOU.
Also, it really bugs me when women try to use the “SIZE 12-16 IS OKAY BECAUSE MARILYN MONROE WAS!” … Do not show your ignorance and be one of these women. My mother’s wedding dress was from the 80’s early 90’s and it is a 7/8. I wore a 00, just recently gained weight so now I fit a 0, and it almost fits me. I’d say it fits like a small 2-4. Figure in the time period that Marilyn Monroe was alive, sizing has changed A LOT. Her measurements were somewhere around 35-23-35 range, give or take a few. That waist size is the size of me, and I’ve been 80-90lbs my whole LIFE. Her weight fluctuated a lot ranging from 115-145lb ish reports say! Woman was not tiny but in no way was she BIG. She was CURVY AS HELL, healthy and natural. I guarantee you girls today trying to tell me you’re a 12-16 are like Marilyn Monroe’s size .. you are trippin’ on acid.
Like I said though, love whatever size or shape you are, but aim for healthy. Don’t act like you’re perfect and need no change if you’re way unhealthy. There is a difference between loving yourself and aiming for healthy vs loving yourself and thinking you’re hot shit and don’t need to change if you’re plus sized.
It only hurts YOU in the end.
i don’t even know where to start with you on this post.
a lot of what you’re saying is ignorant, and a lot of what you’re saying is not for you to say because other peoples’ health is not your business.

i love that she says that!
because i say that!
and now i know that she says it too!
it makes me giggle!
